Agilent / HP 8406A Description:

This unit is used to calibrate frequency and output characteristics of instruments which display the frequency domain such as Spectrum Analyzers.

It has a selectable comb fundamental frequencies of 1MHz, 10MHz, and 100MHz (accuracy of ±0.01%) plus the ability to generate harmonically related signals usable to beyond 5GHz.

It’s output and interpolation amplitude level is continuously variable by a front panel control.
